Snapper Rocks is a small rocky outcrop on the northern side of Point Danger at the southern end of Rainbow Bay on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. Made famous by the surf events the Quiksilver Pro.

Captain Cook Memorial and Lighthouse
The lighthouse used a helium-neon laser light and was the first lighthouse in the world to beam laser light rather than use a more conventional electrical light source. The laser light was invented at Hughes Research Laboratories in Malibu, U.S.A. in 1960.

Purling Brook Falls in Springbrook National Park
Purling Brook Falls in Springbrook National Park is one of the most dramatic waterfalls in the region, plunging 300 feet into a gorge. The walking circuit to the base of the falls is a 4km return trip that will take approximately two hours. It’s certainly not a stroll—there are some steep ascents and 265 steps on the way. It’s less gruelling if you take the path left and walk the circuit in a clockwise direction.
